Xbox One and PS4, 6th June (PC version released 30 May)
I can’t imagine much worse than not being able to see, but that’s exactly the reality you find yourself in in The Deep End Games’ Perception, coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
The game was due to release on 30th May on all formats, but due to an administration error, the console version has been delayed until 6th June. As such, the PC version is available on Steam right now, but PS4 and Xbox One players will have to wait until 6th June.
Perception follows a young blind woman who finds herself being pursued by an evil force. It’s a game of cat and mouse as you must guide her to safety – using only her razor-sharp hearing to guide you.
A game that doesn’t rely on its visuals is a very bold choice – after all, games are nothing if not visual – but it makes Perception a very unique experience, and one that I’m very much looking forward to giving a go.
We’ll have more on Perception in the next week or so, so be sure to check back.
