PC, PS4 and Xbox One, 23rd June
Originally due to be released on 26th May, Get Even was pushed back for a month. Now releasing on 23rd June, it’s a psychological thriller that will make you question reality with every step you take in the game.
Developed by Polish studio Farm 51 in conjunction with Bandai Namco, Get Even is a first person experience that blends a number of genres – it seems to be part horror, part adventure, part first-person shooter, part mystery. Or is it? Our team member Robert Gammon spoke to the writers and composer of the game a few weeks ago, and even they couldn’t clearly define the genre: “it’s NOT a walking simulator, NOT a horror game, NOT a shooter, NOT a puzzle game, NOTHING you’ve ever played!”.
Whatever genre it is, we’re intrigued, and can’t wait to play it.
I’m not going to lie; it’s the gruff Sean Bean-esque Yorkshire narrator of the trailer that drew me in. How could it not? Set in an abandoned asylum, we expect plenty of creepy moments along the way.
Get Even will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on 23rd June. Be sure to check in with us on the 21st for a review and more information about the game.
