PS4 and PC, 20th June
Nex Machina is a game I’m really looking forward to. From Housemarque, the Finnish studio responsible for bringing Resogun and Alienation to PS4, among many other titles in their 20-year history, Nex Machina is the next twin-stick shooter that they’re adding to their roster. And if their previous titles are anything to go by, we should expect great things.
With a futuristic setting and the “pure action” intensity that we’ve previously seen in Resogun, Nex Machina takes place over 100 levels, and has both single-player and co-op options.
Housemarque has a storied history with Sony, with the majority of their releases being PlayStation exclusives, and nothing in their back catalogue since 2013’s Resogun has been released on anything outside of Sony formats. That’s all changing though, as Nex Machina is being published by Housemarque itself to make way for a PC release.
That more people will be able to play Nex Machina can only be a good thing, since not one of Housemarque’s titles in recent years has been disappointing – in fact, its last release of Alienation scored a coveted 10/10 from us back in 2016.
Nex Machina will be available on PC and PS4 on 20th June. Be sure to check back in with us for more coverage of the game.
