A sequel to MachineGame’s Wolfenstein: The New Order being on my best of show list was pretty much a no brainer on name alone.
Add in a gonzo trailer that has interesting characters and a cartoon lizard from an acid trip on top the fantastic duel wielding gunplay and stealth, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is poised to top the fantastic first game. I may be jumping the gun a little, but I might even argue it to be a possible Game of the Year contender.
The New Colossus is set to put us back in the shoes of BJ Blazkowicz as he continues his ware against the Nazi regime – which, going by the trailer, looks like it takes us to America this time around. It’s set in an alternate timeline 1961, where we’ll get to explore a vast array of areas including a post-nuclear New York and the swamps of New Orleans. I can’t wait.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is set for release on October 27th. It’s coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
