Not gonna lie; Tricky Towers is one of my favourite games. Trying to get scores on the global scoreboard is one of my favourite ways to pass some time, but it’s a game that’s much more enjoyable when played with others. Plus, it’s such an easy concept that literally anyone can give it a go. Even cantankerous Great Uncle Roger who hasn’t played a video game since 1982.

You see, Tricky Towers is basically Tetris. Well, kinda. In Tetris, you have a set space with walls in which to drop your shapes into. With Tricky Towers… not so much. The idea is to stack your blocks and make the tallest, sturdiest tower you can. The fun comes when someone places a block out of place, causing the whole thing to tumble down. It’s exhilarating, especially when someone is so close to winning then their tower stars to wobble.

From our review last year:

“WeirdBeard Games should be commended for creating such a simple, yet charming arcade puzzle game. Its single-player mode is useful for familiarising yourself with the game, but this is, undeniably, a multiplayer spectacle. Don’t take its cartoony appearance lightly; Tricky Towers could very well be the game that has you laughing and screaming with (or at) your friends for a long time to come.”

Trust me; Tricky Towers is definitely one to give a go. It will evoke screams, whoops of joy and an array of interesting curse words, but by god, is it fun.
