Oh My Godheads is a brilliant excuse to beat the crap out of any family member or friend who’s pissing you off a bit. Digitally, of course. We’re not condoning real IRL violence here; that’s not the kind of people we are. No, we’d much rather take our anger out on someone’s digital avatar. By, say, blowing them up. Or punching them. Or just generally beating them in any way possible.
The latest way to do this is in a party game called Oh My Godheads. There’s a number of different game modes, but the draw of the game centres around the titular godheads: up to four players will battle it out in capturing a giant stone godhead and taking it back to their goal. Of course, not only have you got to do that, but you’ve also got to stop the other players succeeding too. Throw into the mix the fact that these godheads have special abilities – some will explode, some will send you off course – and you’ve got a raucous time on your hands.

Some modes let you play in teams of two, others can be everyone out for themselves. It’s gonna get brutal, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
In our review, we said:
“Oh my Godheads is without a doubt one of the most original, polished, balanced, and entertaining local multiplayer games I’ve played all year, and so if you’re the type of person that has friends around on a regular basis for some gaming action, it deserves your attention.”
You can’t say fairer than that.
