Okay, so Quiplash is part of Jackbox Party Pack 2 (and its sequel is on Jackbox Party Pack 3), but it’s one of the few games from the Jackbox collections that has been released as a standalone title. Why? BECAUSE IT’S THE BEST.

I thought about including the whole of one Jackbox Party Pack, and while there are other decent titles across the four collections, Quiplash is the one that I’ll always come back to every time friends and family come over to visit. It’s a hilarious game that invites you to be as rude and crude as you like — what more could you want?

The game provides you with a prompt – either a statement or a question – and you need to respond to it in the funniest way possible. Everyone else playing then needs to vote on their favourite, and whoever gets the most votes wins. One example is “A rainbow doesn’t have a pot of gold at the end of it. Instead it has….”, and another is “a word that should never follow ‘beef'”…. I’ll leave the answer of that one to your imagination.

I reviewed the game when it first released back in 2015, and here’s what I had to say about it:

“If you’re having friends round and are looking for a great way to get the belly-laughs rolling, then you needn’t look further than Quiplash. If you’ve got a tumour in your sense of humour, it may not be your cup of tea, but otherwise this is by far one of the best party games you’ll play all year. The only problem will be getting your friends to leave once they’ve started playing…”

Of course, how lewd you decide to be may be metered by who you’re playing with. If your parents are in the room, you may want to turn the crass meter down a few notches. But if it’s your siblings or friends? Let the weirdness reign, I say.
