Top 10 Games We Expect to See at E3 2017

It’s that time of the year again.

That time where us Brits have to stay up until 5am in the morning just to see what games are getting announced at the big conferences, where we obsess over every announcement, and grumble and complain when the one game we wanted to see doesn’t make an appearance. Yup, it’s almost time for E3 2017.

As always, we can’t help but speculate about what games may (or may not) make an appearance. And for a change, there hasn’t been much in the way of leaked information this time around (but with four weeks still to go, I suppose there’s still plenty of time for that to change). So while we have no real idea about what to expect in the way of new game announcements, there are quite a few we can make an educated guess about. Some we’ve already seen at previous E3 conferences, and some we’re just speculating, but here are 10 of the games we’re expecting to see at this year’s E3.

Days Gone

Days Gone is an exclusive PlayStation 4 title that was shown off at E3 2016. It looks to be a zombie survival-adventure game – they’re common as muck but we can’t help but love them. We haven’t seen anything about Days Gone since last year though, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if Sony pull out some more gameplay footage and drop a release date.

Assassin’s Creed 2017

As always is the way with Ubisoft games, there have been leaks aplenty for this year’s Assassin’s Creed. With the last instalment to the franchise being Syndicate back in 2015, it’s the first time that Ubisoft has skipped a year with their flagship franchise, so we’re expecting something good. There’s been no confirmation of any of the leaks, but we know that the next Creed is due out later this year. It’s rumoured to be set in ancient Egypt, and the name “Assassin’s Creed Origin” has been thrown around. We’ll soon see, I imagine.

Far Cry 5

It’s been about a year and a half since the last Far Cry – Far Cry Primal – that put us in the shoes (or should that be sandals?) of a prehistoric tribe member. Ubisoft has literally just teased Far Cry 5 on their Twitter feed by linking to a brand new forum created for the game, so a full announcement is certainly incoming. It may well be officially announced much sooner than E3, but either way, it’s a dead cert that we’ll get a better look at the game during Ubisoft’s conference.

Forza 7

Microsoft’s yearly Forza release is (almost) a cert, and with Forza Horizon 3 releasing last year, this year should be time for a new Forza Motorsport. With the Scorpio just around the corner though, Microsoft may have something a bit special up their sleeve – a more souped-up racing game looking even more fantastic than ever, perhaps? Either way, we can be sure that some kind of Forza experience will be shown off during Microsoft’s conference.

Destiny 2

It’s already been announced, but a showcase of what the upcoming sequel to Destiny has to offer us is a surefire certainty. We can expect to get a better look at character classes, perhaps some new skills and weapons, as well as a better glimpse at the locations and enemies of Destiny 2.
