Crash Bandicoot Trilogy

A hop, a skip and a jump.

The platform game genre is one of the oldest there is. Mario and Sonic may have championed platform games back in the 90s, but the genre had been around way before they became household names.

Perhaps platform games aren’t quite as popular as they once were, having been around the block a few times, but that’s not to say the genre is going anywhere. The occasional title still does resonate with audiences, and now platform games come in all kinds of shapes and sizes: 2D, 3D – even 2.5D.

However many dimensions you prefer, we’ve rounded up the best platform games on PS4 right here. Take a gander at our list, and you might just find your next favourite platformer.

Kim's been into video games since playing Dizzy on her brother's Commodore 64 as a wee nipper. She'll give just about anything a go, but she's got a soft spot for story-driven adventures and open world escapades. If she's not gaming, she's probably cooing over pictures of baby animals or watching re-runs of Friends for the 137th time.
